DUE TO COVID-19, THIS TRAINING HAS BEEN CANCELLED
NEW in 2020!!!
BALOO and IOLS are separating into 2 different tracks to allow us to spend more time on the topics that are important to each position. You must register as EITHER a BALOO or IOLS participant
WHAT YOU NEED:
A tent, sleeping bag, mattress, clothes for cold night, a warm day or rain (just in case).
Wear your Field Uniform (formerly called a “Class A” uniform) if you have one -- but come anyway if you don’t.
BALOO participants – there’s more
BALOO training is now comprised of two components - an online and hands-on component. Both components must be completed to qualify as a “Trained" Cub Scout outdoor leader, and to receive the BALOO recognition patch. The online component contains introductory and basic information and must be completed prior to the practical component. Completing the online portion before the IOLS/Baloo overnighter makes the hands-on training more valuable and meaningful.
The online portion of BALOO is available in the BSA Learn Center within https://my.scouting.org/.
NOTE: To receive your “Trained” Patch, you must also complete:
Youth Protection Training (online at http://www.scouting.org/Training/Adult.aspx)
Scoutmaster/Assistant Scoutmaster Specific or Cub Leader or Cubmaster Specific training
Eat before or bring your own dinner on Friday night. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided on Saturday.
