A full day of fun-filled, action-packed, hands-on, supplemental training sessions for adult leaders to help us better deliver a fun and exciting program to our youth. Signup for each class is required on the next page as each class has a limited number of participants.
$35.00 includes a full day of training, light breakfast, lunch, and a patch.

First Aid and CPR Certification (ECSI) - $45 extra to the instructor for certification and course materials
Fundamentals of Training Part 2: Craft of Training (H96)
Learn how to manage group behavior, build platform skills, and lead discussions and reflections. Participants should come prepared to give a 10-minute presentation on a Scouting topic of their choice.)
Improvisational Leadership
Be prepared for the unexpected and stay flexible as a leader. Wood Badge Course Director and professional improviser Joey Bland will lead you through workshop exercises to practice better communication and teamwork skills. Plus, you'll learn some great games to take back to den meetings, pack meetings, troop meetings, and trainings.

Pack Leader Training
(Duration: 4 Hours)
Cub Scout Leader Position-Specific Training has been developed to give new leaders the knowledge and skills, as well as the enthusiasm, they need to be successful.
Scouting America Range and Target Activities
Topics would include a discussion on the new BSA Target and Range activities rules and regulations, the Cub Adventure Loop, and Rifle, Shotgun, and Archery Merit Badge Counselor requirements, as well as how to find instructor resources for both Cub level and Scouts BSA level shooting sports.
Scoutmaster Specific (In Person)
(Duration: 5 Hours)
Scoutmaster-Specific Training introduces you to everything you need to know about running a Scouts BSA Troop. This is a facilitated session.
Eagle Scout Project Approval
This class is for Eagle Scout Approvers, Scoutmasters, Committee Members, and Parents. We will review the current requirements for the Eagle Project. We will discuss changes, project evaluations, and project myths.
Introduction To High Adventure Team (HAT) Training and Awards
Learn about the origin, purpose, and importance of high adventure training and how it can enhance the outdoor experience for your Scouts. Participants who complete the course will be certified as being trained in Basic HAT Skills and eligible to lead their Scouts in earning certain High Adventure awards.
Leadership 101 (Morning)
Basic leadership skills, planning and running a meeting, planning an event, writing a speech, and more!
Leave No Trace (Morning)
(Duration: 2 Hours)
Come and learn the basic principles of outdoor ethics and their place in our Scouting America program. If you complete two easy prerequisites, you can earn the beautiful Outdoor Ethics Awareness Award by participating!
OA and your Troop
The Order of the Arrow is full of knowledgeable Scouts and Scouters who are dedicated to the BSA program and are willing to assist your unit. This session will show you the benefits your troop or team could receive from utilizing the Order of the Arrow.
Red Rope Challenge (Morning)
The Red Rope Challenge will teach you how to tie 14 knots in under one minute
Dutch Oven Cooking
(Duration: 2 Hours, starting before lunch and continuing after)
Learn the ins and outs of Dutch Oven Cooking from a local Dutch Oven master.
Duty to God: A Secular Approach to Reverence
Explore how Packs and Troops can honor the Scouting value of reverence in a way that fosters inclusion for all—faithful and secular alike. Together, we'll frame "Duty to God" as a universal principle rooted in respect, reflection, and shared responsibility, ensuring no Scout is excluded.
How to be an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Merit Badge Counselor
ChatGPT tells me, "The AI badge is meant to be learned through online interaction and guided discussion with a counselor and tools like Scoutly, rather than via a printed pamphlet." I'll share some unofficial resources to assist you in guiding scouts on their AI exploration journey. We will role-play, discussing ethics surrounding AI, and discuss how AI is impacting college and career choices.
