Cub-Family Memorial Day Weekend Adventure at Camp Emerald Bay

Tent Campers Pricing Options:
$358 per person for Tent Campers

 

 

 

Price includes transportation to and from the island, all activities, and meals from Saturday Lunch to Monday Breakfast.

 

 

 

 

Cub Memorial Day Weekend Adventure at Camp Emerald Bay
(Reference Schedule Only)

 

Saturday:

 

Check in & loading times are tentative as we use multiple boat vendors throughout the year. Those who registered will receive an email 1-2 weeks prior to the weekend confirming the actual departure time and port location. For transportation planning, please account for a check-in time between 9:30-10:30am.

 

9:30am Boat leaves for Emerald Bay (La Espada, 250 passenger Max; Triumphant, 150 passenger Max)

12:30pm Lunch: Wash hands before entering the Dining Hall.

1:30pm Hike to Inspiration Point (1 mi, Easy, 45 min - 1 hr.):  Meet at Pavilion, behind Dining Hall

1:30pm-5:30pm Activities Open Snorkeling, Marine Center Tours (till 5 pm), Stand Up Paddleboard,

Kayaking, Sandcastle Contest, Archery, BB Guns, Crafts, Soap Carving (3-5:30pm)

(Waterfront closed during Swim Checks 1:30pm-2:00pm)

6:00pm Dinner: Wash hands before entering the Dining Hall.

8:00pm Beach Social (Optional attendance). Small fires on the beach. Bring your own Smores supplies!

9:00pm Star Party, short walk:  Meet at Pavilion, behind Dining Hall

(bring red light flashlights, if you have them; weather permitting)

 

Sunday:

7:30am Breakfast: Wash hands before entering the Dining Hall

9:00am-12:00pm Activities Open: Snorkeling, Marine Center Tours, Stand Up Paddleboard,

Kayaking, Sandcastle Contest, Archery, BB Guns, Crafts, Soap Carving (11-12pm)

9:00am Hike to Parson’s Beach (2mi, easy Moderate, 2 hr.): Meet at Pavilion, behind Dining Hall

12:30pm Lunch: Wash hands before entering the Dining Hall

1:30pm-5:30pm Activities Open Snorkeling, Marine Center Tours (till 5 pm), Stand Up Paddleboard,

Kayaking, Sandcastle Contest, Archery, BB Guns, Crafts, Soap Carving (3-5:30pm)

1:30pm Hike to Inspiration Point (1 mi, Easy, 45 min - 1 hr.):  Meet at Pavilion, behind Dining Hall

6:00pm Dinner: Wash hands before entering the Dining Hall

7:30pm Skit Instruction: Gather at the Campfire Circle to learn a fun simple skit/song to perform

8:00pm Campfire: show off your talent! Prepare skits, songs, and stories to share with the other Scouts!

9:00pm Star Party, short walk:  Meet at Pavilion, behind Dining Hall right after campfire

(bring red light flashlights, if you have them; weather permitting)

 

Monday:

6:00am Sunrise Hike to Arrow Point (sturdy shoes - options for 0.5 mi easy, 1.25 mi moderate) Meet at Store

6:45am Cabin Clean Up and Pack Camp Sweep – Leave No Trace ***Line up gear along pier per boat#

7:30am Breakfast: Wash hands before entering the Dining Hall

Boat Loading & Departure times are also tentative and will be disclosed 1-2 weeks prior to the weekend. For transportation planning, please account for a mainland arrival in Long Beach between 10:00am-12:00pm.
