Camp Josepho 2023
Nestled deep in the canyons of the Santa Monica Mountains, Camp Josepho provides a mountain getaway only minutes from the busiest boulevards in Los Angeles. We are excited to offer summer camp this year and multiple experiences that Scouts can enjoy and cherish for a lifetime.
Merit Badge Clusters
Camp Josepho offers merit badge clusters in various fields that scouts of all ages will find interesting. Here are the events being offered:
- Hollywood Experience (Moviemaking, Animation, Photography, Communication)
- Innovation (Robotics, Programming, Electricity, Electronics)
- First-Year Program (Tenderfoot, Second Class, First Class, First Aid, Swimming)
- Nature (Nature, Forestry, Soil and Water Conservation, Wilderness Survival)
- First Responder (Fire Safety, First Aid, Public Health, Safety, Search and Rescue)

In-Council Youth: $430
In-Council Adults: $235
Out-of-Council Youth: $455
Out-of-Council Adults: $260
Payment Schedule:
On Registration: $600 non-refundable deposit.
March 1st: $100 per participant.
April 1st: $100 per participant.
May 15th: Remaining Balance
Early Birds: Register by March 1st to get 1 free adult for every 10 youth you sign up.
Cancellation Policy: We do not offer refunds unless we have to cancel the event or a participant has a qualifying medical or other emergency. Proof must be sent to camping@bsa-la.org when requesting a refund. You can adjust attendance numbers until the event is full or your registration is paid in full.
