Annual Memorial Day Flag Placement

Los Angeles National Cemetery

Scouts will be placing flags again this year on the graves at the Los Angeles National Cemetery in West Los Angeles, 950 South Sepulveda Blvd.

We will start at 8:00 am, you MUST be there by 7:30 am. One week prior to the event, you will receive parking information and your flag placement location map. You must pre-register your unit’s participation here.

All Scouts and adult leaders attending should wear the complete Class A Scout uniform.

Food or drinks of any kind, except water, are forbidden inside the cemetery.  Please make sure to finish breakfast prior to arriving or in the parking lot before entering the cemetery.

Leaders are expected to explain to their Scouts the reason for the Memorial Day Ceremony.  The Scouts must be made aware of appropriate behavior while at the cemetery.  Do not let the Scouts make unnecessary noise or run around while in the cemetery.

Do not bring any food or drinks onto the cemetery grounds!

Only water will be allowed!

Each Troop or Pack should bring their unit flags with them, as they will be displayed in front of the assembly facing the stage (not on the stage) during the presentations.
