The lodge fully expects to be able to conduct this induction completely in-person. We are monitoring the ever-changing COVID guidelines and conditions, and are adapting procedures as needed. The Induction will include: overnight camping, in-person Friday/Saturday activities, ceremonies, cheerful service, as well as food service. 

 

The Induction weekend will start approximately 7pm on Saturday November 20th and end approximately 7 pm Sunday November 21st. More information on exact arrival times & happenings will be available as we approach the event. 

 

All Drivers must bring and complete Camp Josepho Rules of the RoadCamp Josepho Rules of the Road

 

All participants must bring/complete two copies of BSA Medical Form Part A & B, as well as the Council Covid Meeting Participation Declaration form:

General COVID Guidelines

Upon arrival, all participants will participate in a medical check in. (As required by the council). 

All participants must always bring & wear a mask. (Unless eating & drinking).

All participants must always maintain a social distancing of 6ft.

Clans will be assigned service projects away from other clans. 

- Groups for all ceremonies and meals will be kept to the max persons as determined by the council/covid guidelines. (100 persons as of 5/24/21)

- Much more as determined by any/all guidelines in effect during the event. 

 

 

General Induction Information

Check in will open at 6pm on Saturday November 20. Check in/registration will close at 9:00pm on Friday. All candidates please arrive by 6:00 pm at Camp Josepho. Dinner will not be served Saturday night so please remember to eat beforehand. The Induction will end approximately 7:00 pm Sunday November 21st. Exact schedule will be send out closer to the event.

* Due to the ever changing conditions in regards to the COVID-19 Restrictions and Guidelines, this list may change or updated periodically. As of 6/10/21, the lodge fully expects to be able to conduct this induction completely in-person. We are monitoring the ever-changing COVID guidelines and conditions, and are adapting procedures as needed. The Induction will include: overnight camping, in-person Friday/Saturday activities, ceremonies, cheerful service, as well as food service. 

  • Upon arrival, all participants will participate in a medical check in. (As required by the council). 
  • All participants must always bring & wear a mask. (Unless eating & drinking).

  • Only assigned Lodge Kitchen Staff will prep, cook, & serve all meals.
  • All lodge kitchen staff will be gloved and masked while interacting with food.
  • No meals, snacks, desserts, cracker barrels, etc. will be buffet style or self-serve.
  • Participants will eat at tables in groups consisting of their assigned cohort/clan. 
  • All participants will sleep in their own tent/accommodations. Camp bunks will be off limits to all those except Lodge Kitchen Staff, Ceremonialists, & those with medical requirements. 
  • The Lodge will have COVID Monitors going around all weekend ensuring guidelines are being followed.  All lodge staff, including the clan Elangomats have been briefed on the protocols and will also be monitoring to ensure they are followed. At any time, any lodge member or candidate can speak up if they believe procedure in not being followed.

Brotherhood Ceremony

The lodge will be holding an In-person Brotherhood Walk followed by a Brotherhood Ceremony at 3:00pm on Sunday November 21. Brotherhood Candidate Letter (Revised 2020)-protected

Elangomat/Member Corner

Elangomats should arrive Saturday night no later than 7:00pm. Elangomats are expected to complete the Ordeal tests along with their candidates.
