Presents the Welding Merit Badge on April 1, 2017 @ 8:00 am to 12:00 PM
· Scouts will meet all of the requirements for the Welding Merit Badge.
· Scouts will learn welding safety, common welding processes, and career opportunities with welding.
· Scouts get the opportunity to use state of the art welding equipment to learn how to weld their initials on a plate, weld t-joint, weld square groove, and other welds.
· Scouts will get the opportunity to complete an Eagle Weld Project.
Fees include everything needed for the welding merit badge. Scouts must be 14 years or older.
BEFORE YOU REGISTER, PLEASE READ:
Scouts must read the ENTIRE BSA Welding Merit Badge Welding pamphlet before class.
Scouts WILL NOT be allowed to participate in athletic shoes - wear workboots!
Scout leader must have a COMPLETED Application for Merit Badge (blue card) with them. This includes numbering the requirements completely!
Parents WILL NOT be allowed to participate in the lab activities and are advised not to come into the classroom during lectures.
Waivers and photo releases are required to be completed and turned in at the time of the workshop. If you do not want your child photographed for publicity purposes, they will need to make sure they are not photographed during the session. We will not supervise their exemption.
You will be turned away if these items are not in compliance.
