Rugged Explorers use a variety of means of outdoor adventure to create the ultimate leadership experience. Their adventure will start the moment they set foot on Catalina Island.  Orientation and team-building activities begin the week as they and their fellow Explorers divide themselves into boat crews.  They will work as a patrol with different leaders designated per trip to assure the groups success throughout the week. Participants will have the opportunity to do a service project so they can earn the 50 miler award during their week as well! 

Participants in Rugged Explorers must be 14 years old by September 1st of the year they wish to participate.  Participants should plan on being physically challenged during their week at camp. 


Fee Schedule:

Weeks 1, 2: $624

Weeks 3, 4, 5: $724

Weeks 6, 7, 8, 9: $749

Weeks 10: $524

Payment Schedule:

$50 Deposit per participant is due with initial application.

$200 per participant is due on January 9th, 2017.

$250 per participant is due on March 6th, 2017.

Final Payment due 16 days before unit's arrival to camp.

Cancellation Policy
You are guaranteed spaces for the number of scouts and adults listed on your online reservation form. Extra space usually becomes available and is filled on a first-come first-served basis. We are able to accommodate most additions. Any requests for additional space (as well as any other changes) must be done via your online registration. Phone calls and emails are not a confirmation. Please be conscientious in estimating your numbers. The recommendation of the WLACC is for your unit to be conservative with your numbers and add campers as necessary so as to avoid incurring any cancellation fees. Your first per camper installment of $50 is due January 9th, 2017. Be accurate in the number of participants you expect to come to camp as THERE ARE NO REFUNDS FOR ANY FUTURE REDUCTIONS AFTER THIS PAYMENT. All additional payments from this point on are non-refundable. Please make parents aware of this policy.
